ASCE History

We hope to bring students together in a social environment with opportunities to work on hands-on projects using engineering knowledge and to share engineering ideas.

A few good ideas:

• A few of our goals for this up coming school year of 2005-2006 is to get more faculty involvement in the club. One idea is to ask a few Civil Engineering professors to give a guest lecture on their research or a topic of their liking.
• A second idea is to go on fieldtrips to local engineering work sights or companies to see what practicing civil engineers do on a daily basis.
• Our third idea is to have a professor/staff appreciation award given to one professor/staff member each semester.
