![]() Located between the beautiful
Green Mountains of Vermont and Lake
Champlain, the CAPSEL Laboratory is The University of Vermont's
Engineering Laboratory for Complex, Adaptive, and Precision
Systems. A
division of the Mechanical Engineering Department, the CAPSEL Lab takes
the responsibility of investigating research areas that have yet to
evolve into fully matured fields. Such topics include Robotics
for the
inspection, servicing, and protection of structures; Ultra-Wideband
(UWB) and Ground Penetrating Radar Systems; Advanced X-Ray Lithography
process techniques; Biomedical topics, and others. While these
topics
are diverse and cover a large variety of disciplines, they are all
based on complex systems with in-depth factor interactions. The
CAPSEL
Lab looks deeply into the research topics to uncover the nuances of
each area in an attempt to bring light onto these otherwise abstract
research areas.
